Packing and Getting Ready
The last couple days have been spent packing my things and gathering all the things that I need.
Now here I am driving to the airport in Idaho Falls. I am so excited!

Earning the Money
So in order to go to China I had to pay for the trip. The first thing that I did was create fliers that told about what I was doing, and some jobs that I could do for people such as babysitting, yard work, and housework. The next step was handing them out to people. After I had printed out the fliers my sister and I headed out the door to all the neighbors handing out flyers, and explaining my cause. Thanks to many people in my ward I got lots of babysitting jobs. I also had to clean someone else's house once a week. Then in about mid March I was still short on money so we bought some pizza coupon cards and for a few weekends I went door to door selling those. It was hard work! And definitely not my favorite thing to do! In fact I dreaded most of the door to door stuff. And thanks to some very generous extended family members who found jobs for me or donated some money to my cause I was able to reach my goal of $3000. Thanks to all those who gave me work and donated money I really appreciate it!

Finding Out About the China Trip
When I first found out that I had the opportunity to go to China I was so excited! The day that I found out was a Tuesday in October. My mom was driving me to volleyball. We started talking and she told me that my aunt had called and told her about a service trip to China. She told me that for a few weeks in April a group was going over and that my aunt, uncle and cousin had invited me to go with them. I was so excited that I was bouncing out of my seat. A few days later after we had found out a little more about it we talked it over with my dad, and he said that if I could earn the money that I could probably go. We found out that some dentists were going and that they would do some dental work and that we would visit some orphanages and do some site seeing.We worked out a plan on some things that I could do to earn money and made the decision that I could go. I couldn't believe it I was going to China!
